As someone who grew up reading these books to my little sister and who had to watch way too many Herzog movies while studying German in college, this video was pretty hilarious. (And, no, it’s not really Herzog, but this nails him.)
This pretty much describes my reaction to this morning’s Flagpole ride. Not sure how many weeks it’s been since a 50 mile ride. That started at 24 mph. Yeah. Just look at Loki. That’s me.

This morning’s ride? Smack in the midst of that “Brief Delusional Joy,” even though it was windy. This afternoon’s ride to campus? Looks not so great thanks to wind gusts over 20 mph. Still, it can’t be worse than yesterday’s 40+ mph wind gusts.
